Meet Your Trainer

Hey! I’m Erin and I am going to tell you how fitness saved my life. Literally. This is the reason I turned my passion into a career. I have spent almost half of my life trapped in eating disorders. From anorexic to severely bulimic. From 38kg up to 70kg. I joined the gym when my son was 18mths old, after leaving a violent relationship. I was 45kg and determined to lose weight. What I found not only saved my life, but gave me a passion I never knew I had. I was malnourished, suffering obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety and clinical depression, unable to leave the house at times.

Quite fast I found I was craving the feeling exercise gave me. My body was changing in a positive way and I began eating more. I took up cert 3 / 4 in fitness, with the intention of becoming a les mills instructor, body balance was my zen. I moved gyms and ventured into the weight area. I FOUND MY RELEASE. A way to release my anger I bottle up, my emotions, my stress, a way to escape life for an hour.

I took up Personal Training here, balancing it with a full-time double degree at uni and a toddler. It was the most stressful, guilt ridden year of my life and I vowed to change that. I changed study, to my passion, nutrition and left PT. It wasn't fair on my son who was my priority. Clients still wanted programs, so I began online PT. And it took off. I competed twice, had another baby, took time off training due to health issues pregnant and breastfeeding and basically started from scratch in 2016.

Due to having issues in the past with ED’s, it was important for me to have full control over my nutrition. I briefly had a coach before I competed and learnt that rigid meal plans were not good for a persons mindset. My preps are flexible, I won't lie they get tough, but I’ll never prep on a rigid meal plan.
